DESIGNED AROUND YOU

Your Journey, Your Interests, Your Pace

No two travellers are the same, and your tour shouldn’t be either. Whether you’re drawn to dramatic coastal scenery, ancient history, traditional Irish villages, photography, local food, family heritage or hidden places far from the crowds, every itinerary is created around what interests you most.

Rather than following a fixed schedule, we’ll travel at a relaxed pace with the freedom to spend more time where you choose, make spontaneous stops along the way and adapt the day as it unfolds. It’s your experience, shaped around your interests rather than a timetable.

From the moment I collect you, everything is taken care of. With comfortable private transport, local knowledge and years of guiding experience, you’ll discover Ireland in a way that’s personal, flexible and completely your own.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know Before You Book

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch. We’re always happy to help you plan the perfect private tour.

A bespoke private tour begins with a conversation about what you would most like to experience. You can share your preferred destinations, available dates, accommodation, interests and approximate timescale. Steve will then suggest a realistic route that balances your priorities with driving times, opening hours and local conditions. You do not need to arrive with a complete itinerary already prepared. The purpose of the planning process is to turn your ideas into a comfortable, well-paced journey rather than trying to fit too much into one day. Once the details have been agreed, you will receive a personalised tour proposal and quotation.

Yes. A tailor-made tour can be designed around particular places, interests or experiences, provided they can be combined safely and realistically within the time available. You may already have a list of must-see locations, or you can ask Steve to recommend a route based on what you enjoy. Options might include coastal scenery, historic sites, traditional villages, photography locations, cultural experiences or lesser-known places away from the busiest routes. Steve will advise when distances, seasonal opening hours or road conditions make an alternative arrangement more practical, so the final itinerary remains enjoyable rather than rushed.

Attraction admissions are optional unless specifically stated. You can add selected admissions during checkout or decide on the day and pay directly at participating attractions.

The price depends on the duration of the tour, collection and finishing locations, total distance, route complexity and any additional arrangements required. Because each bespoke journey is different, a personalised quotation is provided after the main details have been discussed. Your quotation should clearly explain what is included, helping you understand the cost before confirming. Entrance fees, meals, ferries or third-party experiences may be separate unless specifically included in the proposal. Providing your dates, accommodation, preferred destinations and approximate available time will make it possible to prepare a more accurate and useful quotation.

Multi-day planning may be possible depending on availability, the proposed route and the locations involved. A multi-day private tour should be structured around sensible travel distances, allowing enough time to experience each area rather than spending most of the day in the vehicle. Steve can help connect destinations across Kerry and other parts of Ireland into a practical sequence, with scenic stops and points of interest along the way. Accommodation is normally arranged separately by the guest unless otherwise agreed. Early enquiry is advisable, particularly during the main visitor season, as several consecutive dates can be more difficult to secure.

Yes. One of the main advantages of a private bespoke tour is the ability to adapt the day as it develops. You may decide to spend longer at a viewpoint, shorten a stop that is less relevant to you or adjust the route because of weather, traffic or local conditions. Flexibility does not mean that every change will always be possible, as opening hours, travel distances and confirmed appointments still need to be considered. Steve will use local knowledge to recommend the best practical alternative while keeping the experience comfortable, well paced and aligned with the interests discussed during planning.

Irish weather can change quickly, particularly around coastal and mountainous areas, but poor weather does not automatically mean that the tour cannot proceed. The route may be adjusted to prioritise locations offering better visibility, sheltered attractions or experiences that remain worthwhile in changing conditions. Certain mountain roads, viewpoints and outdoor stops may be unsuitable during severe weather, and safety will always take priority. Bringing a waterproof jacket and suitable footwear is recommended even when the forecast appears favourable. Where possible, Steve will use local knowledge and current conditions to make the best of the day rather than following an inflexible route.

Yes. Bespoke tours can be planned around specialist interests such as landscape photography, local history, archaeology, Irish heritage or places connected with a family story. For photography-focused days, the route can allow more time at selected locations and respond to weather or light where practical. Genealogy-related visits require as much accurate information as possible in advance, including place names, family names, parishes or known addresses. While historical locations can often be included, access to private property, records, relatives or specific buildings cannot be guaranteed. The more information you provide beforehand, the more focused and realistic the itinerary can be.

A private tour can often be adapted to reduce walking, avoid steep ground and allow additional time for entering and leaving the vehicle. However, accessibility varies considerably between historic sites, rural viewpoints and natural attractions. Some locations may involve uneven surfaces, steps, gravel paths or limited nearby parking. It is important to explain any mobility requirements before the tour is confirmed so the route can be planned appropriately. Steve can suggest more accessible alternatives where necessary, but guests should not assume that every requested site will provide step-free access. Clear advance information helps create a safer and more comfortable experience.

Booking as early as possible is recommended, especially for travel between May and September, weekends, public holidays or multi-day arrangements. Bespoke tours require more planning than standard routes because collection points, driving times, special interests and possible reservations may all need to be considered. However, shorter-notice enquiries are still welcome and can sometimes be accommodated if the date is available. When making an enquiry, include your preferred date, number of guests, accommodation or collection location, available time and the places or experiences that interest you most. This allows Steve to assess availability and respond with a relevant proposal.

Still have a question?

Every private tour can be tailored around your plans. Get in touch and I’ll be happy to help with collection points, timings, accessibility or anything else you would like to confirm before booking.
